BESPOKE FUNDS AND BENEFITS

Artists Fund: Donors to the Artists Fund ensure the recruitment and retention of the high quality, professional company you have come to know and love by offsetting $500,000 in salaries, travel, and housing costs for our company members. Your funds will go to support a specific artist or administrator at Northern Stage.

Benefits for giving to Artists Fund are:

  • Gifts up to $4,999.99: You are included in a special Bespoke donor list in the current season’s playbill.
  • $5,000 – $10,000 (Actor, SM): Get to know an actor in or Stage Manager of one of our Mainstage productions.
  • $10,000 – $25,000 (Director/Designer): Personally connect with your supported artist – a Director or Designer — once per season.
  • $25,000 – $50,000 (Year-Round Staff): Your supported staff member will connect with you on a per-show basis and bring you closer to the craft of creating theater.
  • Level $50,000 – $100,000 (Lead Team): Adopt a Leadership Team Member, and on a per show basis, one of our four operations Directors will bring you into the world of theater management.
  • $100,000+ (Managing or Artistic Director): Learn first-hand about the decision-making processes at the top of the company on a per-show basis. You may be invited to a casting session with Carol Dunne or a round of golf with Eric Bunge!

Education Fund: At Northern Stage, we inspire, nurture, and challenge generations of theater lovers. Education Fund donors offset $200,000 in annual education department costs. Programs supported by this fund include the Internship and Apprenticeship Programs (E-term, Boot Camp, Summer Interns), life-long learning series (Osher, Learning Lab), BridgeUP Theater in the Schools (Shakespeare in the Schools, Musical Theater in the Schools), Boot Camp Mentorships, and need-based scholarships for our Youth Ensemble Studio, YES Jr., Summer Theater Intensives and Vacation Camps.

Access Fund donors ensure that Northern Stage is a theater for all. Dollars raised offset $75,000 in annual costs for low-cost ticketing programs and allow for new programs such as audio description or large print playbills. Programs supported by this fund include $15 Student Any Time Tickets, $20 Tuesdays, Access for All, the Library Partnership Program, and other new initiatives designed to promote accessibility and remove barriers to participation.

Opportunities & Challenges Fund: From the thrilling (Off-Broadway premiere!) to the necessary (a new table saw!), we spend up to $150,000 per year on things we need and opportunities that are too important to pass up. Supported programs include our annual New Works Now Festival, Thirsty Theater 10 Minute Plays, producing an Off Broadway run of a Northern Stage premiere. Donations also cover tools and equipment purchases (computers, microphones, etc.), professional development opportunities (conference attendance, professional memberships, etc.), or to meet unexpected or arising challenges (flooding, fire, or other emergencies).

Benefits for giving to the Education, Access, or the Opportunities & Challenges Funds are:

  • Gifts up to $4,999.99: You are included in a special Bespoke donor list in the current season’s playbill.
  • $5,000 – $10,000:  The above, plus recognition on our web-site and in press releases associated with your supported program;
  • $10,000 – $25,000: The above, plus acknowledgement in curtain speeches, lobby displays, and in any print materials regarding your supported program;
  • $25,000+: The above, plus invitations to a private dinner for major donors and to all events surrounding your supported program.
