AFGHAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

Our thoughts are with those suffering in the aftermath of the terrible earthquakes in western Afghanistan. We send our prayers to the families of those who have been affected and who have lost loved ones. Please consider giving to one or more of the following organizations, who are providing relief to these families:

BAITULMAAL provides life-saving, life-sustaining and life-enriching humanitarian aid to under-served populations around the world regardless of faith or nationality. Currently, they are supporting Afghan families affected by the earthquakes with clothing and blankets.

EMERGENCY RELIEF AFGHANISTAN is a crowdfunding campaign with people on the ground in Afghanistan looking to raise money to build permanent homes. Winter is around the corner and tents will not withstand the harsh winds that come in the area.

ISLAMIC RELIEF USA is a community of diverse people sharing a set of common values: excellence, sincerity, social justice, compassion, and custodianship. Currently, Islamic Relief is working with local partners in Afghanistan to provide emergency relief to families including food aid, vital medical supplies, and temporary shelter.

THE KHALED HOSSEINI FOUNDATION is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was started by Khaled Hosseini, the award-winning author of THE KITE RUNNER in 2008. TKHF funds grantees who provide humanitarian relief and shelter to families, economic opportunity for women, and healthcare and education for children in Afghanistan.
