A Doll’s House, Part 2

Written by Lucas Hnath
Directed by Peter Hackett

September 18 – October 6, 2019

Nora has returned! Northern Stage is thrilled to present the unofficial sequel to our 2017 production of A Doll’s House. In the final scene of Ibsen’s 1879 groundbreaking masterpiece, Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and children and begin a life on her own. In this new play by Lucas Hnath, many years have passed since Nora’s exit. Now, there’s a knock at the Helmer’s door. Why has Nora come home? And what will it mean for those she left behind? Whether you enjoyed our 2017 production or are new to the iconic story, you will delight in this moving contemporary classic that happens to be America’s most produced play this season.
Spot On – Sunday, September 29, 3:00-4:30
