As part of Northern Stage’s Education Department’s ongoing mission to make our programs accessible to theater lovers throughout our community, we have implemented a Sliding Scale Tuition Assistance Program. Eligibility for financial assistance is determined on a case by case basis, using the charts as a guidepost but also offering families the opportunity to share extenuating circumstances that might impact eligibility through an optional Statement of Need.
Families only need to apply for Sliding Scale once a year, with the resulting award being applied toward participation in all education programs your family would like to participate in throughout our Education season, which runs from June 1 through May 31.
In addition to Sliding Scale tuition, Northern Stage also offers need-based scholarships and payment plans for our education programs. For any questions, please contact Co-Directors of Education Sam Empey at sempey@northernstage.org and Kevin David Thomas at kthomas@northernstage.org.
This program is made possible by the support of the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation, The Jack & Dorothy Byrne Foundation, The Mary W. Harriman Foundation, Bonnie & Clint Swift, Gail & John Wasson, Hypertherm Owner’s Philanthropic Endeavors (HOPE) Foundation, The Sabra M. Hamilton Foundation, Education Fund Donors, and our entire family of supporters.
Northern Stage uses the Vermont Department for Children and Families Child Care Financial Assistance Sliding Fee Scales as a guideline.
