The educational programs at Northern Stage seek to engage local students of all ages in exploring the world of theater while challenging their beliefs about the world around them. We meet each student at his or her own level and seek to build confidence, knowledge, and a love of theater in a professional environment. We hope that participating in classes and workshops at Northern Stage will help make theater a meaningful part of lives now and in the years to come.

BOOT CAMP

Boot Camp is a year-round program for high school juniors and seniors who want to pursue theater arts in college. Boot Camp provides personalized and in-depth mentorship in acting, singing, and dancing as well as college counseling to guide them through the highly competitive audition process.

PRODUCTION APPRENTICE COMANY (PAC)

PAC offers a variety of Production and Design opportunities tailored to each student’s unique capabilities and aspirations. They receive training from professional theater artisans on a one-on-one basis, in group master classes, and working on professional shows. PAC students engage in hands-on learning in their areas of focus, such as carpentry, sewing, props fabrication, and stage management.
