Northern Stage offers half-day theater camps during all school vacations! Designed for all experience levels, campers learn theater games and skills centered around a theme, and the week culminates in a performance for friends and family!
Throughout the week, students will explore popular stories like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Strega Nona, Where the Wild Things Are, Pete the Cat, and The Rainbow Fish. Using these beloved stories as inspiration, students will work together to create their own unique 10-minute story. At the end of the week, campers will present their original story to family and friends.

We’re bringing back a Northern Stage favorite: Disney Villains Camp! Throughout the week, students will dive into the world of Disney’s most mischievous villains, exploring music from popular movies like 101 Dalmatians, Peter Pan, The Princess and the Frog, The Little Mermaid, and many more. At the end of the week, students will share their Villains presentation with family and friends.

Throughout the week, students will explore some of the most adventurous YA fantasy stories and musicals. They’ll dive into shows like The Lightning Thief, Hercules, and many more, as well as stories like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Warriors, and Magic Tree House. At the end of the week, students will put on a presentation for family and friends.

We’re bringing back a Northern Stage favorite, Witches & Wizards, for our 6–8-year-old April camp! Throughout the week, students will explore popular musicals and stories centered around witches and wizards. They’ll discover musicals like The Wizard of Oz, Descendants, The Little Mermaid, and many more, along with popular stories like The Witches, The Sword Called Excalibur, and Little Witch. At the end of the week, students will put on a presentation for family and friends.

We’re bringing back one of our most popular camps: Girl Groups & Boy Bands! Throughout the week, students will explore the music of groups like the Spice Girls, One Direction, KATSEYE, Little Mix, the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and many more. At the end of the week, students will put on a presentation for family and friends.

No! We welcome students of all experience levels.
Camps do not require an audition, however, they do fill up fast, so register early!
Our camps are designed with specific ages in mind. We understand that some students are at different levels of maturity than their peers, but we urge you to sign up for the program/production that fits the student’s age.
If your student has a birthday during the course of a camp that will either age them into or out of a specific program, please reach out to our education staff to find out what program will be right for them.
All camps culminate in a short presentation for family and friends!
A 25% deposit is required to reserve a space in all Northern Stage programs. Payments must be made in full by the program start date.
In an effort to ensure theater education is accessible to all, Northern Stage offers sliding scale tuition, need-based scholarships, and payment plans for our education programs. Please click HERE to learn more.
Northern Stage’s refund policies for Education programs:
– Cancellations 60+ days before the classes begin: 75% refund
– Cancellations 30-59 days before the classes begin: 50% refund
– Cancellations within 30 days: No refund

Students experiencing coughing, sore throat, fever or gastrointestinal distress must contact program administrators to determine whether they can come to rehearsal/performance days. If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or greater or if they have vomited two or more times in the past 24 hours, they may not return to Northern Stage. They are welcome back once they have been fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing medication.

The Northern Stage Education department will typically cancel rehearsals and classes when a majority of surrounding school districts cancel school or have an early release due to inclement weather. We will reach out through email and/or phone to alert families to any cancellations. A make-up rehearsal or class will typically be scheduled to make up for any lost time, schedule permitting.
Weather-related performance cancellations are very unusual but do sometimes occur. If we are experiencing inclement weather on the day of a student performance, Northern Stage will determine if a cancellation is necessary and alert students’ families to the situation as quickly as possible.

You will get a confirmation email from Northern Stage’s Box Office after payment is received in full. This email includes your receipt and a link to the Student Intake Form. This form must be completed by the start of the program or your student will not be able to participate.
Northern Stage’s Education Department will reach out closer to the scheduled start date with more detailed information about the program.
Northern Stage’s Box Office will be closed from Friday, August 21 through Tuesday, August 25 for administrative training. We will not be able to respond to phone calls or emails during this time, nor take any in-person sales.
