Prior experience not necessary. Enthusiasm required!
Northern Stage believes the artistry that happens behind the scenes is just as important as the artistry that happens on stage. We pride ourselves in having a fully professional and exceptionally gifted production staff, from our technical director, to our scenic artists, to our props master. TAP is designed for students in grades 9-12 with an interest in technical theater. Students will participate in six master classes from September through April, which will include an educational experience from production staff members and attending a performance. They will also participate in the technical crew for the Youth Ensemble Studio productions of Metamorphoses or Frozen JR.

Main Stage Days
Main Stage Days begin with master classes, led by Northern Stage professional staff members. A pizza party splits the day before students gather to see the main stage production at Northern Stage, followed by a post-show conversation. Click here to learn more about our 2019-20 productions.
