About Dutch Masters

On a summer day in New York City in 1992, two young men — one white, one black — meet on the uptown D train. What circumstances bring them together and where will the day take them? In a slow, suspenseful drip, Dutch Masters gradually reveals the revelatory purpose behind this not-so-chance encounter. This thrilling new play by Greg Keller examines race, class, and responsibility in a world wracked with divisions. We are excited to use the intimacy of streaming technology to present a close up look at this powerful two-hander.

How to Watch

1. Secure your ticket: For members, you must contact the box office to receive a ticket link. For single ticket buyers, click here to purchase a ticket.
2. Once your ticket has been secured, you will receive a confirmation in your email. The subject line should be “Northern Stage Order Confirmation” if you purchased single tickets or “Northern Stage Ensemble Membership Order Confirmation” if you are an Ensemble Member.
3. In your confirmation email, scroll down to the Order Detail section and click the blue button that says “VIRTUAL Tiny Necessary Theater – Dutch Masters – STREAM ON DEMAND 3/16-3/28.”
4. When you click the button, a new page will open with your access code automatically filled in.  Select the “I agree to the terms of service” box, and then click “START WATCHING.”
